watchdog for measuring water leakages
Application
The SeCap™ Water Leakage Detector is a watchdog for measuring water leakages. An example is an oil filled container, such as control modules on sub sea installations. Control modules are filled with silicon oil to protect and isolate the different components. Water leaking into a control module can be detrimental to the operation of the module. Accessing a control module to repair it, can be a very costly operation. Consequently operators may seek information not only about leakage/no leakage, but also how fast the water enters the module. Unlike traditional systems, SeCap™ Water Leakage Detector gives answers to both these questions.
With Sentech’s SeCap™ Water Leakage Detector an operator will have essential information to take decisions.
Technical Description
The SeCaP™ technology is based on an electronic oscillator that is influenced by the dielectric constant of the media surrounding it, i.e. the frequency of the oscillator varies with the change of the dielectric constant in the media. The oscillator and media are isolated by a ceramic wall with the oscillator calibrated to correct for all static parts.
The SeCap™ Water Leakage Detector has three individual probes fitted in a housing made of stainless steel and is designed and built to offer very high MTBF-figures. The measurement range (linear) is 30 to 100 mm. The instrument delivers a 4-20 mA signal with 18-36 V DC working current.
The SeCap™ Water Leakage Detector is delivered as a “Plug and Play” instrument where all testing and calibration is done prior to delivery to the customer.
